What’s Next? The Markets

Surely no one can say with any precision where markets are heading, that’s not unusual, but with Congress late acting on shoring up the Covid response, Covid continuing to reach new heights, and more lockdowns inevitable … What’s Next? The Dow remained stubborn last week, trading in a 550-point range and ending the week at 26,469.89, down 202.06 for the week (-0.8%). “The big five” (Microsoft (MSFT), Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), Facebook (FB), and Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL)) are 22% of the S&P500 and largely responsible for the buoyant nature of the broad market. When they correct, the impact will be amplified. I do not prognosticate, but do pay attention to reasoned commentary:
